Our Purpose
Pursuing Jesus
Our main purpose is to pursue Jesus with all of our heart, while teaching others to do likewise. We seek to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, and to live as good examples of what it means to be a true disciple. We strive to live as if Jesus may return in the next hour, preparing every day for the moment we will see Him face to face. Though we eagerly await this experience, we know we cannot remain idle, but we must lead as many people to Him as we can while we wait.
Making Disciples
We long for the simplicity of the early church, for the breaking of bread together, and the pursuit of sound doctrine. We desire to live what we believe to the fullest, and to bring others along with us, teaching, and raising up disciples as Jesus commanded us to do before His ascension. We cannot win our city alone! We must pray, fast, preach, teach, train, and encourage believers all around us to do the same, for the hour is late, and the end of the day in which we can work is so very near.
Preaching the Gospel
What the world needs now more than ever is the preaching of the simple truth ~ the gospel of Jesus Christ. He lived, He died, He rose, and He is with us now, desiring to work with us, confirming the Word preached with signs following. The key is to keep our focus on the preaching of the gospel, and not on the signs. Signs follow preaching, but believers should not follow signs. Let our words be His, our actions be His, and our steps be ordered of the Lord!
